I asked my seven year old daughter why archaeology is important…..I liked her answer a lot
‘Archaeology is important because when archaeologists find something, they can see how things used to be in another time.
Like a memory.
Old people can remember when something was invented. Like a pen. Old people remember using a feather and ink!
When the old people don’t have memories for the things people invented in other times, archaeologists find them.
Archaeologists find the memories for everybody.‘
Aoife, age 7.
Out of the mouths of babes! Wonderful!
Great statement… Writing by feather and ink is not the easiest way but gives you plenty of joy and fun as well 🙂 I did some tests a few weeks ago as part of Exchange Letters initiative and I highly recommend this way of writing… http://wp.me/p4mUeK-ey
